A luxurious bed and breakfast with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, set in a peaceful rural location in the heart of the Argyll Forest and within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
Barely one hour from Glasgow Airport, close to the shores of Loch Fyne and Lock Eck, Balliemeanoch Farmhouse and Steading is ideally situated for exploring the Cowal peninsula, Argyll’s west coast and further afield into the Scottish Highlands – and equally suitable for an active break or a quiet country retreat.
Balliemeanoch was once a working farm, with a farmhouse and traditional steading dating back to the mid 19thcentury. The buildings fell into a state of disrepair after the farm was abandoned, but the farmhouse has now been carefully restored to create a lovely family home and a high quality bed and breakfast. At Balliemeanoch today you’ll find smart, spacious and comfortable accommodation, great home cooking, friendly service and a wealth of activities on our doorstep.
We consider ourselves very fortunate to live in this beautiful area, surrounded by the fields and hills, forests and lochs of the Cowal region, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Whether your preference is walking or fishing, wildlife or castles, or just relaxing with a book and enjoying the views, please come and see us soon for what we hope will be the first of many visits. We’ll do everything we can to ensure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
