Two rooms with great views!

Well, here we are, ready to welcome our first visitors.  It’s been a long haul, but stage one is looking pretty splendid – even if I do say so myself.

I’m not fooling myself, mind you, lots more to do and I am sure there’ll be plenty more of our exploits to share, but our first two guest rooms have made the hard work worthwhile!

So far we’ve had two lots of ‘test’ guests staying.  No-one more critical than your family, so we were delighted that both my sister Rose and Charlie’s brother Tom seemed genuinely smitten with our new home.  Rose commented ‘It’s so restful here, I don’t think I have ever felt more relaxed and calm after a short break’.  How nice; we both enjoyed our fast paced weekend breaks together in London, but she’s right, this is something altogether new and completely different.  Tom’s verdict was similar, if a tad more Scottish – ‘Wow, this is a braw*1 place’!

So, as the B&B critics head off, the beds are all changed, the rooms are looking smart and welcoming, and I am now getting ready for real guests. It’s about time I told you about our offer!  We’ve two lovely, large and airy bedrooms in our farmhouse, connected by an en-suite ‘Jack and Jill’ style bathroom.

They would be a great choice for a family, having their own space but close enough to keep tabs on one another, or fab for couples or a group of friends who are happy to share a bathroom.  Each room is so large, we would even be able to add an extra bed, should numbers require.

And all for £62.50 per room per night (based on both rooms booked together and 2 people sharing each room), including the most delicious Scottish breakfast – locally sourced ingredients and, once we’re really settled, where possible, home grown or baked!

We look forward to welcoming you on your first Balliemeanoch Break very soon – call 01369 860190 to book, email an enquiry to or visit our Facebook page for more images

(Scottish slang):  Good, great, brilliant, very nice, fine, splendid

  1. Thanks, Angela and Cha for a wonderful few days. You even provided great weather! Not to mention the walks, the drives through satanic glens, visits to the brewery and that super restaurant.
That covers the outdoors part. Your home is warm and welcoming, and we always knew you can cook for Scotland – and England,
    Tom andAnn

    1. Thanks Tom and Ann for the glowing reference – we may have to add your comments to the guestbook! We had a great time and hope you’ll be back before too long.
